Everything people usually ask before working with Beth — consultations, cohorts, ferments, delivery and payments. If yours is not here, just ask us directly.
Getting started
Working with Beth.
What actually happens in a consultation?
You tell Beth your story — symptoms, goals, health history, what you have already tried. From there you receive a personalised gut-healing protocol: targeted foods, ferments, lifestyle shifts and evidence-based supplements built around your life, not a template.
Which consultation should I book?
A 15-minute phone call (KES 1,500) suits one targeted question or a quick check-in. A 1-hour Zoom consultation (KES 3,000) is the full assessment and includes your personalised protocol — this is the usual starting point, and it works anywhere in the world. A 1-hour in-person session in Nairobi is KES 4,000. Once you are an existing client, 30-minute follow-ups are KES 2,000.
Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?
After booking you will be sent a short intake form covering your symptoms, medical history and current diet. Filling it in before your session means you spend the whole appointment on answers rather than background. Recent lab results are welcome if you have them.
Can you help with something other than digestion?
Often, yes. Gut health sits underneath hormonal balance, skin, energy, mood and chronic inflammation, so those are all common reasons people book. If your situation needs a medical doctor rather than a nutritionist, Beth will tell you so directly.
Is this a replacement for medical care?
No. Nutritional guidance complements medical treatment — it does not replace diagnosis, prescriptions or the advice of your doctor. Always speak to your physician before stopping or changing any prescribed medication.
Bookings
Appointments.
How do I book?
Pick your consultation type on the booking page, choose from the available dates and times, and pay to confirm. Consultations are booked and paid for in advance — payment is what holds the slot.
How will I join an online session?
Zoom consultations are confirmed by email with the meeting link, and the appointment is added to the calendar. You will also get a reminder before the session. For phone consultations, Beth calls the number you booked with.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled time are eligible for rescheduling. Same-day cancellations are not refundable, as the slot can no longer be offered to someone else. Get in touch as early as you can and Beth will do her best to accommodate you.
What if no times suit me?
Only slots Beth has open appear on the booking calendar. If nothing there works — or you are in a very different timezone — message us through the contact page and we will look at what else is possible.
Cohorts
Group programmes.
What is a gut healing cohort?
A small group that moves through a structured gut-healing programme together over a set number of weeks. It includes weekly live group coaching calls, personalised weekly meal plans, a private WhatsApp community, direct access to Beth, and lifetime access to all the materials.
How is it different from a 1:1 consultation?
A consultation is one focused session built entirely around you. A cohort is sustained accountability over several weeks, alongside people working through the same thing — which is what many people actually need to see a protocol through. Plenty of clients do both.
When does the next one start?
Start dates and durations are listed on the cohorts page, along with how many places are left. Cohorts are deliberately small, and enrolment closes once a cohort begins.
What if I miss a live call?
You keep lifetime access to the programme materials, and the WhatsApp community runs throughout so you can catch up and ask questions between calls.
Products
Ferments & guides.
How fresh are the ferments?
Everything is made in small batches — kefir milk, kefir grains, sauerkraut, tallow — rather than produced ahead and stored. Kefir milk in particular is a living product, so it is made to order and dispatched quickly.
How should I store them?
Keep kefir milk and sauerkraut refrigerated and sealed. Kefir grains arrive live and should go into milk soon after they reach you — care instructions come with your order. Tallow is shelf-stable in a cool, dark cupboard.
I have never fermented before. Where do I start?
The Kefir Starter Pack is built for exactly that: grains, a litre of kefir milk, a glass jar, sieve, mwiko, a recipe to prep, and a gut-healing meal plan. Everything you need in one box.
How do the digital guides work?
They are instant downloads. Pay, and the download links appear on your confirmation page and arrive by email. Links expire 48 hours after purchase, so save the files to your device promptly — they work on any device. If a link expires, your guides remain available from your account dashboard.
Orders
Payment & delivery.
How do I pay?
All payments are processed securely through Paystack, which accepts M-Pesa and major debit and credit cards. Card details never touch our servers. All prices are in Kenyan Shillings.
What does delivery cost?
A flat KES 400 delivery fee applies to any order containing physical products. Digital guides have no delivery fee — order guides on their own and you pay nothing extra.
How long does delivery take?
Physical orders are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours, and you will get a WhatsApp notification when your order ships. Delivery times after that depend on your location and courier.
My payment failed or I cancelled. What now?
Nothing is charged and your cart is still waiting for you — just head back to it and try again. If money left your account but you never saw a confirmation, contact us with your payment reference and we will trace it.
Can I get a refund?
Digital guides are delivered instantly and cannot be returned once downloaded. Fermented foods are perishable and are not returnable for the same reason. If something arrives damaged, spoiled or not as described, contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will make it right. Consultation refunds follow the 24-hour cancellation policy above.
Where do I find my orders and downloads?
Sign in and open your account dashboard. Every order, download link and booking is listed there. If you checked out as a guest using the same email address, those orders are linked to your account automatically the first time you sign in.
Reviews
Your feedback.
Who can leave a review?
Customers who have bought the product. Once your order is paid, a "Rate this product" link appears next to it in your dashboard, and the review form unlocks on the product page. Every review on the site is a verified purchase.
Can I change my review later?
Yes. You have one review per product and you can edit it at any time — reopen the form on the product page and your existing rating and words are there waiting.
